City Carrier Assistant (CCA)
Delivers and collects mail on foot or by vehicle under varying road and weather conditions in an
assigned area.
Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) / Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC)
Cases, delivers and collects mail along a rural route using postal vehicle. Provide customers on
the route with a variety of services.
PSE Mail Processing Clerk (PSE MPC)
Performs a variety of clerk duties required to process mail using automated mail
processing equipment or manual methods of sortation and distribution at plants:
Mail Handler Assistant (MHA)
Loads, unloads and moves bulk mail and performs other duties related to mail processing
at plants: OAKLAND PDC or SAN JOSE PDC
Automotive Technician
Performs routine and complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motor vehicles used in
the postal fleet. Troubleshoots and diagnoses more complex vehicle malfunctions using a variety
of computerized test equipment.
Maintenance Mechanic
Independently performs semiskilled preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance tasks
associated with the upkeep and operation of various types of mail processing, buildings and
building equipment, customer service and delivery equipment.
Tractor Trailer Operator (TTO) – Class A CDL
Operates a heavy-duty tractor-trailer either in over-the-road, city shuttle service, or trailer spotting
operations.
Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) – Class B CDL
Operates truck in conformance with time schedules and rules of safety, and in accordance with
instructions regarding the route assigned.
